How to configure bios to continue to boot windows at start up?

Hello guys!

I got an old PC that when it starts it does a memory check and after that it waits for me to click F1 before it start up windows.

Is there some way to make it just wait for like 5 sec before it starts up?

(The motherboard is a asus p3b-f if that info is needed.)

Best regards
Fredrik

in command line, write: msconfig
under the boot menu, there is the bootup-wait in seconds, change it to what you want (5)

Hello guys!

Thanks for your answers!
Unfortenately the bios does not seem to have this feature what I can see.
And the bootup-wait does not seem to a have no effect.
It still halts and wait for me to click F1.
I also notice that the time-setting in bios is reset to 1970 each time I restart the computer. I guess it uses some battery and perhaps that is empty and can not be recharged. So perhaps this old machine is better to not use any more.

Best regards
Fredrik

On some old motherboards, there is a small battery, that can be changed.

Hello amigos!
Thanks for all help!
Finally I solved it.
Since it is quite old it was equiped with a floppy driver. Since I do not use floppy discs any more I removed it.
When I removed it from the bios as well then it started fine.
Best regards
Fredrik
